What we do at the papillion center

The Papillion Center is a faith-based, nonprofit counseling and therapy center, specializing in wraparound service provision for kids and families. We operate on a community-funded sliding fee scale so everyone can afford services.

Our services include: individual, family, and group counseling, behavioral management, speech-language pathology, psychiatry, and an internship program. Our therapeutic lens is comprehensively rooted in Trust Based Relational Intervention (Purvis & Cross).

🦋 bringing hope and healing to kids and families

Therapeutic Intervention

We offer individual therapy, couples therapy, family therapy, child and adolescent therapy, and group therapy for a wide range of needs.

Behavior Dysregulation Program

Emotional dysregulation may cause angry outbursts, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, suicidal thoughts, self-harm, and other self-damaging behaviors. We work with you to develop skills and strategies for these feelings.

Advocacy

Being an advocate promotes and defends another person’s rights, needs, and interests. You may need an advocate if needs are not being met, or you are being denied rights. Being an advocate involves understanding issues, thinking about children’s needs and presenting solutions.

Educational Workshops

The Papillion Center has developed workshops that our staff can conduct at your site. This allows you to include multiple participants at a lower cost.

Psychiatric Mental Health

We have an on-site psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner that provides clients with prescription medication management.

Occupational Therapy Partnership with Murray State University

Students from Murray State University come on-site to work with clients with a wide range of needs.

We offer opportunities for high school seniors to be involved with the community and represent The Papillion Center.

Opportunities for Co-Op Student
